Official Add Date Now February 19th for Touch My Body

I'm sorry folks, they just keep pushing it back everytime we get close. I hope people don't start losing interest. Only thing we can still bank on is hearing the song through the radio stations who said they'd play it on February 5th. As far as I know, we will still hear it Tuesday.

We'll keep you posted.

New Info on Touch My Body from Hits Daily Double

"Touch My Body" info in the rumor section of Hits Daily Double
THIS JUST IN: The new Mariah Carey single is titled "Touch My Body," HITS snoop Jeff McCartney has learned. "It's classic midtempo Mariah with a BIG hook," says the Jeffster. REID: 'I Never Gave Up On Mariah or Janet'

Record executive Antonio 'L.A.' Reid is confident he can revive the careers of R&B singers Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson - because he never stopped believing in their star power.

The Island Def Jam boss was eager to sign both artists to his label - despite the commercial failure of their respective albums released by Virgin Records.
After signing Carey in 2002, her subsequent debut with Island, The Emancipation Of Mimi, has gone on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide - and Reid is convinced Jackson's upcoming album Discipline will have similar success.
He says, "I firmly believe in truly talented people, particularly talented superstars. I believe if you have the talent, it's just a question of someone refining it and helping to make the right creative decisions.
"Talent always wins in the end; you're never over. As a matter of fact, I find that the marketplace generally is much healthier for icons than it might be for new artists, and I think that has been proven for many artists.
"When you look at the Eagles' success or the recent Led Zeppelin success, it tells me that people who grew up on these artists always love them, they just want them to make the right record. So I never really give up on them."

Heroes comment: With all respect due to Mister Reid's comment, Mariah never gave up either and she's a talented, genious hard worker!!!

For the Nostalgia - I Still Believe (Rosie O'Donnell)

Sorta late today but as they say better late than never. So here we have MC in one of her best performances of I Still Believe. She looks kinda thick in the face on this video, but who cares, the vocal was amazing. LOL check out Randy Jackson from AI playing the bass. Anyway, hope you good folks enjoy this and RELIVE THE SPLENDOR.

Not much News Today/Contest Ideas and More

Not much news today for you good folks but I will be posting a For the Nostalgia in a few. Only news we have, is really not news at all.

A radio station in Phoenix, Arizona thought they had Touch My Body and that they were the first ones playing it. Turns out it was Secret Love, a track on the Japan release of the Emancipation of Mimi. Kinda embarrassing.

I also have plans to create some contests where you guys can win prizes, like CDs and more. I'll keep you posted on that.

I'm also thinking of doing a Mariah influenced myspace artist of the week, like a spotlight on them to get them some extra exposure. Only artist who have let it be known how Mariah has influenced them. So if you're a Mariah influenced artist with a page on myspace, let me know what you think of that idea.

Please leave some comments and let me know what you think of these ideas, you gotta let me know. Just click where it says "0 comments" and you can comment there.

God bless.

Mariah Looking Grand at Benny Medina's birthday party

Mariah looking great at Benny Medina's B-Day party. Chillin' with JD and the Birthday Man. Look at Mark in the back, lol. Here's some scoop:

"Hi, I'm Mariah and I'll be your hostess for the night!" announced songbird Mariah Carey, who got revelers like music producer—and Janet Jackson's significant other—Jermaine Dupri into the spirit of the evening at Benny Medina's birthday bash. After Carey wheeled out the guest of honor's Moroccan-inspired cake, Medina surveyed the room and declared himself "the happiest man in the world."

For the Nostalgia - Clown (Charmbracelet Tour in LA 2003)

This is the slick, fire back track from Charmbracelet. The performance is good, Mariah coos the mean oh so sweetly, surrounded by circus performers in perfect relevance to the song. She also looks amazing in body and attire. I love this video, so I hope you enjoy too. Leave comments.

Touch My Body CONFIRMED as the 1st Single

All Access has now confirmed the title of Mariah's 1st single. As we reported yesterday, it IS TOUCH MY BODY. Again, expected to premiere next week, but to go to adds in 2 weeks from today. I'll keep you updated on that.

We have the news as it breaks and even before. Keep coming back.

Stay Tuned.

Thanks to Neung.

All Access Add Date Changed, TMB still to premiere next week?

Yep, you read it right, as suspected, you won't hear anything til next week AT LEAST. All Access has changed official add dates to February 12th. However, as of right now, all the stations that have the track WILL STILL play it next Tuesday, February 5th.

We'll keep you posted, Stay Tuned.

Rumor Mill: New Single may STILL premiere later TODAY

That's what some unconfirmed sources are saying. The source says that Z100 (radio station) has the single (Touch My Body) and have said they will play it later today (Tuesday) at 6PM.

Personally, I say just wait til next Tuesday, we've waited all this time, whats another week? People really need to chill out and build up anticipation rather than complain about one more week. I honestly think we won't hear it til February 5th, next Tuesday. It's not impossible that we'll hear it today, just not likely.

Stay Tuned.

Touch My Body is the 1st Single

My sources have informed me that the radio station has let on that "Touch My Body" is the 1st Single off of Mariah's new album. More info on this as news develops but from where I sit right now, Touch My Body is the single. Comments and thoughts?

Breaking News: New Single Premiere Postponed until Next Tuesday

Clip of the Radio Station confirming February 5th as the Single Premiere Date

According to sources, a K-HOP 95.1 DJ just announced that the new Mariah Carey single will debut next Tuesday rather than tomorrow. This is definitely a blow to the gut but understandable as we didn't even know it was gonna premiere til this morning. Apparently, IDJ told the station not to premiere the single til next week. This gives time for the news to spread and it could give Mariah's official site and myspace to revamp.

Check back for more updates.

For the Nostalgia - Anytime You Need A Friend (Tokyo Dome 1996)

This is Mariah Carey at her vocal best. Very soulful and effortless. Amazing control and power, with some emotion to boot. One of my favorite performances ever. She even breaks into the Remix of the song at the end and sings her way off the stage. Legendary.

New Single Radio Announcement

KHOP 95.1 will be premiering the new Mariah single tomorrow as you know. They have announced it on the air and someone was able to rip it. So here is the clip below.

New Single Radio Announcement

Thanks to thiskidhasit from Pulse Music Board

"As far as we know, 95.1 KHOP will be playing her new single Tuesday January 29th so be sure you tune in. That's all the info I have on it at the moment."

We'll keep you updated as news breaks, check back frequently.

UPDATE: KHOP @ 95-1 breaks the hottest new music first!
We just heard from Mariah's team that KHOP can expect a copy of her new single Tuesday, long before other radio stations and iTunes will have it!
So be listening Tuesday for Mariah Carey's new single. And to other radio stations around the country, be ready to record it from K-HOP since you won't have it!

For the Nostalgia - Vision of Love (High School Homecoming 1999)

Check out this subdued but technically brilliant performance of Vision of Love from Mariah's Homecoming to her high school that she did in 1999. Voice like butter on this one yall. Please leave comments.

For the Nostalgia

A friend of mine from a forum pointed something out last night about the TAOM DVD. During the DVD, she said a couple times, when having the audience participate: (paraphrased) "If you don't do it for any other reason, just do it for the nostalgia." And we gotta love the Mariahisms, phrases, and lines, cause if we don't it would be bleak...seriously and we're tryna keep it up on a stone groove. Now we done got to the point, where I CAN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY. LOL

But back on the serious tip , that has inspired me to put up a video everyday or every other day (depending on the news rate) under a section called, For the Nostalgia. It will basically just be a classic performance or interview from off of youtube posted on the site for your viewing pleasure or you know....if for nothing else...just for the nostalgia. LOL ;)

Another Album News and Review

SoI'm sure most of you have heard of Mariah Carey's new album, That Chick. Well, I've got the lowdown for you on this album! Here's everything known so far about the highly anticipated album of 2008:
Tentative Title: That Chick
The album was first known as The Butterfly Within which would've made sense since the original release date for the album (2007) would've been the 10th year anniversary of her amazing, succesful album, Butterfly. Later, on HMV.co.uk, the album was apparently titled Sweet Soul Odyssey, but no mention of that name came from IDJ, or Mariah. Awhile passed with no news, but suddenly someone apparently confirmed that, along with a Janet Jackson listening preview, a Mariah preview was also held, in which they played 7-10 tracks from the album. Head of IDJ, L.A. Reid, also said that the album was called That Chick, though many fans have expressed dismay with the title, but as Mariah is known to please her fans, the title may change.

Tentative Release Date: April 1, 2008No single has been released as of yet, so the date is subject to change. Hopefully not, I want this album ASAP. LOL.

Single: ???Apparently, the single impacts radio this Tuesday, January 29th. We don't know what the single is for sure, but is expected to be either "Touch My Body", "That Chick" or "Migrate". Carey Chooses Stargate

Carey chooses Stargate

Stargate's producer Mikkel Storleer Eriksen talks about "That Chick". Eriksen who worked with Mariah on "That Chick" in New York, says he's fascinated by Mariah as she's an incredible artist and a funny woman. According to Mikkel, the album will be a hit and he was only able to talk and reveal some details to the Norwegian publication last Friday, as the label is very protective to avoid leaks. Both tracks Stargate produced on Mariah's album are very Stargate-esque with addition sounds like we are used to hear by Mariah. It's a "feel good" impression to be with Mariah, she's a hard worker and a famous vocalist, we worked from late at night to the early hours with a few glasses of champagne, says Eiksen. I'm really excited by "That Chick".

Another Review from Australian Listening Party

Mimi V Janet - The Showdown

The Buzz section with Nui Te Koha and James Wigney 27/1/08

A CHART battle is looming for Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson . Jackson will release her new album Discipline, on Feb 26, Carey's long player, tentatively titled I'm that chick is due on April 1. And judging by new tracks previewed at a Melbourne listening session last week, Mimi will blitz.

Carey beats, lyrics, and vocal delivery are superior. Mimi's new songs are about love, lust, being played and her breakdown - or her "breakthrough" as a Carey describes it.

Touch my body , shortlisted as the first single, hints at a new celebrity must have - a sex tape. "If there's a camera up in here then i'd best not catch this flick on YouTube" Carey warns.

"If you run your mouth and brag about this secret rendezvous I will hunt you down"

Collaborating producers include Jermaine Dupri, Polow Da Don, Stargate, Danja, Tricky Sterwart and The Dream

By comparison, the new Janet is geared to the clubs.

New Single STILL Scheduled for January 29th

According to AllAccess, Mariah Carey's yet untitled single will hit the airwaves this coming Tuesday. We'll keep you posted on any further developments.
